Spring is coming! I’ve been seeing some of these guys flitting about lately. Mourning cloak #butterfly in #silvercitynm I was in Glenwood #newmexico today to cover the public forum with Gila National Forest Supervisor Camille Howes. Watch for the story in Friday’s Silver City Daily Press or at scdailypress.com. #gilacows Hey, #SilverCityNM, the Illusion Band is performing at the WalMart parking lot until 4 pm as a fundraiser for their expenses to perform at the #Tejano Awards Fan Fair next month in San Antonio. There’s food booths and raffle tickets along with the music! Watch for my story about the band next week at scdailypresss.com. Contestants line up for the costume contest at Chocolate Fantasia in the Hub in downtown Silver City. Watch for my story in Monday’s Silver City Daily Press. The Silver City Daily Press is in Santa Fe at the Roundhouse! The Grant County Prospectors met with Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (center), Lt. Gov. Howie Morales (right), Rep. Luis Terrazes (left) and Sen. Siah Correa-Hemphill (not pictured). Meetings with Cabinet secretaries are this afternoon. This caught my eye on my front sidewalk this week. I love how the large drops magnify portions of the leaf. #naturephotography Folklorico dancers at the Santa Clara Tamal y Mas Fiesta today. Watch for coverage in Monday’s Silver City Daily Press. Decided I needed some office time today. The Daily Press newsroom has such great character. I am honored and humbled to have won three awards tonight in the New Mexico Press Association’s Better Newspaper Contest. And my thanks to my former employer, the Roswell Daily Record, for allowing me to accept my awards.
