About JunO

Juno Ogle is a photographer, writer and journalist living in Silver City, New Mexico, a gateway to natural areas including the Gila National Forest and the Continental Divide Trail.

Growing up in a small town on the High Plains of Kansas, Juno was always curious about her surroundings from her own yard to the world at large. As she grew, she felt the need to document the happenings of where she was in words and photos.

That nature led her to a career in journalism, working for 20 years as a reporter and editor at The Hays Daily News in Hays, Kansas, where she won awards for her writing and photography.

In 2020, she decided it was time to follow her family back to the state of her birth — New Mexico. She worked as a reporter for two years at the Roswell Daily Record (of UFO fame) and now reports for the Silver City Daily Press. As she explores her new home, she almost always has her camera to document the details of what she sees.
