My advertising manager liked the full-page ad, but also wanted something smaller, so I created a series of 3×5 ads.

Our publisher wants the newspaper to expand the services we do, and my advertising manager asked me to create a house ad to promote the types of jobs we can do. I liked the background, and it reminded me of comic books, so that’s the overall theme I was going for.
